Responsibilities

1. Responsible for executing, monitoring, and training inventory best practices and standard operating procedures for the entire store, including both front end and pharmacy. Supports pharmacy inventory management activities, including receiving, counting, ordering, and facilitating returns. Champions On-Shelf Availability and is responsible for receiving, counting, pricing, returns, and all in-store inventory processes. Validates and ensures accuracy of planograms.
2. Responsible for reviewing and coordinating the proper use of reports and system applications, impacting the accuracy of front end and pharmacy on-hand balances and pricing.
3. Responsible for executing and maintaining front end and pharmacy asset protection techniques, and filing claims for warehouse and vendor overages, shortages, order errors, or damaged goods including prescription drugs.
4. In designated stores, as required, opens and closes the store in the absence of store management, including system start-ups, cash handling, cashier responsibilities, and ensuring the floor and stock room are ready for the business day.

Customer Experience

• Engages customers by greeting them and offering assistance. When serving as the leader on duty, resolves customer issues and answers questions to ensure a positive experience.
• Models and shares customer service best practices to deliver a delightful customer experience, including interpersonal habits and Walgreens service traits.

Operations

• Executes and coaches team members on warehouse and vendor inventory management processes including creating, reviewing, and receiving orders.
• Scans all deliveries, focusing on One Box receiving, and takes appropriate actions to mark delivery as received or contact vendors for issues.
• Verifies pharmacy shipments and completes postings for all pharmacy orders, including audits and reporting shortages or damages.
• Completes On-Shelf Availability processes, including disposals, call-ins, and vendor returns.
• Under pharmacist supervision, completes pharmacy inventory activities, including recalls, vendor returns, and transfers. Verifies pharmacy claims postings.
• Executes pricing activities, including price changes and markdowns, ensuring accuracy and compliance.
• Supports ordering processes for front end and pharmacy, monitors manual orders, and maintains inventory accuracy.
• Ensures on-hands and inventory records are updated and accurate, including in pharmacy.
• Assists with physical inventory preparations and supports store cleanliness and merchandising.
• Supports package delivery activities, including scanning, returns, and execution of Pickup Program.
• When serving as leader on duty, manages POS transactions, including scanning errors, price verifications, returns, and cash handling.
• Maintains compliance with policies, fosters respectful relationships, and performs additional tasks as assigned.

Training & Personal Development

• Attends trainings and completes e-learning modules, including safety training.
• Obtains and maintains required pharmacy licenses/certifications.

Communications

• Serves as a liaison for inventory system training and communication, reporting issues to management.

Minimum Qualifications

• Six months of prior work experience with Walgreens or one year in retail.
• Fluent in English (except in Puerto Rico).
• Willing to work flexible hours, including evenings and weekends.
• Positive performance review and no recent disciplinary actions.
• Attention to detail, multitasking, operational issue resolution skills.

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience as a shift lead, pharmacy technician, or customer service associate.
• Previous Walgreens employment preferred.
