Job summary

INIT is seeking a warehouse associate to support our Chesapeake, VA operations. The role focuses on inventory control, accurate packing and labeling for shipping, and maintaining the security of merchandise in a fast-paced environment.

Ideal candidates have 0–2 years of warehouse experience, strong teamwork and communication skills, and a basic understanding of purchase order software. A valid driver's license is useful for material handling and local deliveries.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma is required.
• Graduate of a polytechnic/technical college or technical degree is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Keep an inventory of all merchandise entering or exiting the warehouse.
• Identify missing, lost or damaged materials and notify the supervisor.
• Ensure merchandise is safely packed and labeled for shipping.
• Manage merchandise with care.
• Assist with training of newly employed workers.
• Scan labels to ensure correct destination for shipments.
