Job summary

Triple-S Steel Supply is seeking an Inventory/Receiving team member in Kentucky to monitor and receive all incoming shipments. The role requires attention to detail and basic computer skills to keep inventory accurate.

The position involves fielding order questions from warehouse and sales, performing stock checks, and addressing backorders each morning. Experience with overhead cranes and forklifts is a plus; prior steel distribution knowledge is preferred.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED.
• Good math and excellent organizational skills.
• Able to deal effectively with employees.
• Ability to multi-task and adapt to changing circumstances.
• Ability to accurately use a tape measure and micrometer.
• Ability to operate an overhead crane.
• Knowledge of structural steel products or prior steel distribution warehouse experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Receive all shipments by outside sources and company transfers.
• Field questions about orders from warehouse and sales.
• Perform stock checks.
• Address backorders promptly each morning.
• Maintain organized and accurate inventory.
• Operate overhead crane.
• Operate Hyster Forklift.
