Qualifications

  • Proficiency in MS Excel and inventory reporting tools.

Description

Job Duties and Responsibilities

  • Serve as the subject matter expert (SME) for inventory control, receiving procedures, and inventory accuracy processes.
  • Facilitate, coach and train inventory and receiving associates, including onboarding, cross‑training, ongoing development, and reinforcement of best practices.
  • Act as the primary point of escalation for inventory discrepancies, receiving errors, stock variances, and system‑related inventory issues that cannot be resolved by associates.
  • Monitor daily receiving activities to ensure inbound shipments are received accurately, timely, and in accordance with company procedures.
  • Oversee inventory transactions, including receiving, put‑away, transfers, cycle counts, and inventory reconciliations.
  • Collaborate with Inventory Coordinators to support cycle count programs, physical inventory audits, and inventory accuracy initiatives.
  • Review and maintain inventory and receiving procedures for accuracy, compliance, and operational effectiveness; recommend updates and process improvements as needed.
  • Collaborate with Inventory and Receiving Leads at other facilities to ensure alignment of processes, documentation, inventory controls, and best practices across locations.
  • Support new system implementations, inventory control initiatives, warehouse process improvements, and operational projects.
  • Collaborate with Inventory Coordinators to maintain accurate inventory and receiving records and ensure compliance with company policies, quality standards, and audit requirements.
  • Promote a culture of safety, accountability, teamwork, and continuous improvement within the Inventory and Receiving team.
  • Perform other duties as assigned to support operational objectives.

Required Qualifications

  • High school diploma or equivalent required.
  • Minimum of 2-4 years of experience in inventory, receiving operations, warehouse operations, logistics, or related operational roles.
  • Demonstrated experience serving as a subject matter expert (SME), in inventory or warehouse operations.
  • Proven ability to train, coach, and mentor team members, including onboarding and ongoing skill development.
  • Strong problem‑solving and analytical skills, with experience investigating and resolving inventory discrepancies and receiving issues.
  • Experience conducting cycle counts, inventory reconciliations, and maintaining inventory accuracy.
  • Strong organizational skills and attention to detail, with the ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast‑paced environment.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to communicate effectively across departments.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications, particularly Excel, Outlook, and inventory reporting tools.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience supporting warehouse management system implementations, upgrades, testing, and validation activities.
  • Experience working in a multi‑site distribution, warehouse, or logistics environment.
  • Forklift certification or experience operating material handling equipment preferred.

Physical Requirements

  • Must be able to lift up to 50 pounds infrequently.
  • Must be able to stand, walk, bend, and perform physical warehouse activities for extended periods.
  • Frequent use of computers, handheld scanners, and warehouse management systems is required.
  • The job may require overtime hours, including occasional Saturdays, based on business needs.
  • An essential function of this position, based on business necessity, is that the employee must be physically present at the designated facility during normal business hours and operational shifts assigned to the position.
