Job summary

Full Swing Golf is seeking an Inventory & Receiving Coordinator to ensure accuracy and efficiency in our Sorrento Valley warehouse. You will verify incoming freight against POs, resolve discrepancies, and maintain cycle counts across active SKUs, while coordinating with Purchasing, Planning, and carriers.

Requirements include 1–3+ years in warehouse operations, Excel proficiency, and experience with ERP/WMS systems such as NetSuite, SAP, Oracle, or Baan.

Qualifications

  • High school diploma or GED required; Associate's or Bachelor's degree in Supply Chain, Business, or a related field preferred
  • 1-3+ years of experience in warehouse operations, receiving, logistics, or inventory control
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office, particularly Excel; experience with ERP/WMS systems such as NetSuite, SAP, Oracle, or Baan strongly preferred
  • Familiarity with barcode scanners, inventory data-capture tools, receiving workflows, packing slips auditing, and cycle-counting methodologies
  • Strong attention to detail, numerical aptitude, and accuracy in inventory tracking and data entry, particularly with high-value or serialized inventory
  • Strong organizational and time-management skills with the ability to manage receiving, inventory counts, and replenishment priorities
  • Clear written and verbal communication skills with the ability to work effectively with internal teams, suppliers, and carriers
  • Ability to work independently, exercise sound judgment, and resolve or elevate discrepancies appropriately

Responsibilities

  • Receive and process incoming freight arriving via parcel, LTL, and air freight carriers
  • Verify physical inventory against purchase orders, packing slips, and ASNs upon arrival
  • Inspect shipments for quantity discrepancies, shortages, and freight damage; document and coordinate resolution with Purchasing, Planning, suppliers, and carriers
  • Ensure received materials are accurately sorted, labeled, and routed to the correct storage location or department
  • Coordinate delivery schedules, damage claims, and delivery exceptions and serve as a day-to-day point of contact between the warehouse and supply chain teams
  • Execute the daily, weekly, monthly, and quarterly cycle-count program across all active SKUs, following ABC velocity-based frequency assignments
  • Maintain record-to-physical inventory accuracy within defined tolerance thresholds and promptly update the ERP/WMS for count results, receipts, and approved adjustments
  • Investigate inventory variances and receiving discrepancies to identify root causes, document findings, and support timely reconciliation of book-to-physical balances
  • Assist with adjustment documentation and identification of obsolete, damaged, or expired inventory for proper disposition in accordance with internal control policies
  • Maintain accurate, up-to-date records in the ERP/WMS for all SKUs, lots, and serial-controlled items
  • Use barcode scanners and other data-capture tools to maintain accurate inventory records and minimize manual entry errors
  • Maintain documentation supporting receipts, counts, adjustments, and shipments, including BOLs, packing slips, and count sheets
  • Contribute data to standardized inventory accuracy and receiving reports for management review
  • Monitor inventory levels against established reorder thresholds and alert management to potential shortages or overstock conditions
  • Assist with replenishment activities and vendor orders in accordance with company purchasing procedures
  • Coordinate with Procurement to confirm order status, lead times, and delivery expectations
  • Conduct physical location audits to verify bin accuracy and proper storage of inventory
  • Maintain a clean, organized, and safe receiving and storage environment in accordance with warehouse standards
  • Communicate inventory discrepancies, count results, receiving issues, and replenishment needs with Purchasing, Planning, Fulfillment, Finance, and warehouse teams
  • Coordinate with suppliers and carriers to resolve delivery and shipment issues
  • Support cross-training with other warehouse staff to ensure operational coverage during absences and peak periods
  • Ability to stand and walk for extended periods in a warehouse environment
  • Ability to occasionally lift or move packages and equipment weighing up to 30-50 lbs
  • Ability to bend, reach, and use basic material handling equipment as needed

We’re looking for an Inventory & Receiving Coordinator to help ensure the accuracy, efficiency, and integrity of operations at our Sorrento Valley Warehouse. This hands-on role sits at the intersection of receiving and inventory control, responsible for verifying incoming shipments against purchase orders, resolving delivery discrepancies, and maintaining a disciplined cycle-count program across 701 active SKUs. Supervisory Responsibilities
  • None
Receiving & Logistics Coordination
  • Receive and process incoming freight arriving via parcel, LTL, and air freight carriers
  • Verify physical inventory against purchase orders, packing slips, and Advance Shipping Notices (ASNs) upon arrival
  • Inspect shipments for quantity discrepancies, shortages, and freight damage; document and coordinate resolution with Purchasing, Planning, suppliers, and carriers
  • Ensure received materials are accurately sorted, labeled, and routed to the correct storage location or department

Inventory Accuracy, Cycle Counting & Reconciliation
  • Execute the daily, weekly, monthly, and quarterly cycle-count program across all active SKUs, following ABC velocity-based frequency assignments
  • Maintain record-to-physical inventory accuracy within defined tolerance thresholds and promptly update the ERP/WMS (NetSuite or equivalent) for count results, receipts, and approved adjustments
  • Investigate inventory variances and receiving discrepancies to identify root causes, document findings, and support timely reconciliation of book-to-physical balances
  • Support periodic physical inventory counts, wall-to-wall audits, and ABC classification reviews as inventory velocity changes
  • Assist with adjustment documentation and identification of obsolete, damaged, or expired inventory for proper disposition in accordance with internal control policies
Serialized & High-Value Inventory
  • Perform serial-number verification on high-value, serialized equipment - including Launch Monitors, Projectors, and Computers - to confirm unit-level accuracy
  • Flag and elevate any serial-number mismatches, missing units, or condition issues on high-dollar assets immediately
  • Apply heightened diligence to ‘A’ class items given their outsized impact on shrinkage and write-off exposure
ERP/WMS, Documentation & Reporting
  • Maintain accurate, up-to-date records in the ERP/WMS for all SKUs, lots, and serial-controlled items
  • Use barcode scanners and other data-capture tools to maintain accurate inventory records and minimize manual entry errors

  • Prior experience supporting audits (financial, quality, or customer) with documentation and evidence gathering
