Job summary

Cavender’s in Plano, TX is seeking a Receiver to support backroom and inventory operations. You will accurately receive, inspect, and stock merchandise, ensuring accuracy and adherence to store standards. The role requires lifting up to 50 pounds and safe use of barcode printers and handheld devices.

You will work with the store team to maintain inventory flow, support store cleanliness, and contribute to an exceptional customer experience.

Qualifications

• Ability to accurately receive, inspect, and process merchandise in a fast-paced retail environment.
• Ability to regularly lift, move, and position merchandise weighing up to 50 pounds.
• Ability to safely use store equipment, including handheld devices, barcode printers, step stools, and dollies, in accordance with company policies.

Responsibilities

• Accurately receive, process, and stock merchandise, including purchase orders, transfers, special orders, and returns, ensuring merchandise matches documentation and discrepancies are reported promptly.
• Inspect merchandise for quality, accuracy, proper tagging, boot pairing, and label placement.
• Maintain inventory accuracy by organizing back stock, processing paperwork, and ensuring merchandise is stored according to company standards.
• Operate and maintain receiving equipment, including barcode printers and handheld devices, to support daily receiving operations.
• Collaborate with store leadership and team members to support inventory management, merchandise flow, and operational goals.
• Train and provide guidance to stockers on receiving processes, merchandise handling, and backroom organization.
