Job summary

Cavender’s is seeking a Receiver to support backroom and inventory operations in a fast-paced retail setting in Texas. You will receive, inspect, and stock merchandise, ensure accurate documentation, and help maintain inventory integrity for a smooth sales flow.

Responsibilities include operating receiving equipment, maintaining a clean backroom, and collaborating with the team to meet goals while upholding Cavender’s standards of customer service and store presentation.

Qualifications

• Ability to accurately receive, inspect, and process merchandise in a fast-paced retail environment.
• Ability to regularly lift, move, and position merchandise weighing up to 50 pounds.
• Ability to safely use receiving equipment and handheld devices per policy.
• Flexible schedule including evenings, weekends, and holidays.
• Must read and understand English; strong organizational and communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Accurately receive, process, and stock merchandise, including orders, transfers, returns, and recalls.
• Inspect items for quality, tagging, and correct placement on shelves/backroom.
• Maintain inventory accuracy by organizing backstock and documenting discrepancies.
• Operate receiving equipment such as barcode printers and handheld devices.
• Keep backroom clean, safe, and organized; support store operations and flow.
• Collaborate with leadership to meet inventory and merchandising goals.
• Train stockers on receiving processes and backroom organization.
• Report safety or system concerns to management promptly.
