Job summary

PCA, a Fortune 500 company, seeks a Maintenance Clerk to handle purchasing, work orders, and inventory for the plant. You will create purchase orders, receive supplies, and maintain records to ensure smooth production.

The role emphasizes safety, accuracy, and timely communications with vendors and internal teams. Starting at $30.28 per hour, the position offers paid vacation, holidays, medical/dental/vision enrollment within 30 days, and a 401(k) with match.

Qualifications

• Be passionate about maintaining a safe work environment.
• Ability to read, analyze, and interpret technical procedures, manuals, and contracts.
• Ability to write routine reports and correspondence.
• Ability to communicate effectively with vendors and employees.
• Ability to calculate figures and amounts.
• Computer, writing and communication skills and completing required tasks using Word, Excel and email.

Responsibilities

• Place orders on a timely basis for purchases of materials and supplies.
• Handle work orders for Forklifts and Clamp Trucks.
• Take inventory counts and maintain inventory levels.
• Create purchase orders for supplies and work orders.
• Receive supplies and deliver required paperwork to accounting.
• Research sources of supplies for best value and terms.
• Maintain vendor files and inventory control records.
• Maintain price records and handle discrepancies.
• Understand and comply with safety and quality requirements.
• Able to inform maintenance of issues needing assistance.
• Inform management of price increases and economical alternatives.
• Maintain a positive and professional work attitude.
• Comply with all company policies and procedures, including safety and housekeeping.
