Job summary

American Eagle Outfitters Inc. is offering a 16-week Inventory Planning Full Time Training Program in Pittsburgh, PA.

Trainees will rotate between two areas within Inventory Planning, receiving classroom and on-the-job training, guided by a coach and mentor, with the aim of placement in AE or aerie after completion. Participants must have a business-related degree, a minimum 3.0 GPA, and be willing to relocate to the Pittsburgh office.

Qualifications

• Preferred majors include a business-related degree (Finance, Accounting, Logistics, Supply Chain).
• Candidates must obtain their degree in advance of the program start date.
• Minimum 3.0 GPA required.
• Passion for retail and knowledge of the AEO Inc. family of brands.
• Strong business acumen through coursework, internships or prior work experience.
• Ability to think strategically with strong analytical skills.
• Strong organizational, prioritizing, interpersonal, problem-solving, and presentation skills.
• Strong verbal and written communication skills.
• Demonstrated collaborative skills and ability to work well within a team.
• Ability to work in a fast-paced and deadline-oriented environment.
• Self-motivated with attention to detail, deadlines and reporting.
• High proficiency MS Office Suite, specifically Excel, Outlook & Internet applications.
• New hires must be willing to relocate to AEO Office in Pittsburgh, PA.

Responsibilities

• Rotations between two areas within the Inventory Planning department.
• On-the-job training with a Coach & Mentor.
• Classroom learning including retail math, reports, systems training, imports, career path, and presentation skills.
• Individual and group projects.
• Roundtables with top executives.
• Monthly self-evaluations to track progress.
• Potential placement into an open IP role after completion of the program.
