Job summary

Walgreens in Newark is seeking a detail-oriented associate to manage inventory across front end and pharmacy, including receiving, counting, pricing, and planograms. You will validate on-hand balances, assist with pricing changes, and support inventory reporting and vendor returns.

Qualifications

Six months of prior retail or Walgreens experience.
Fluent in reading/writing/speaking English (except Puerto Rico).
Willingness to work a flexible schedule, including evenings/weekends.
Proven attention to detail and ability to multitask in a fast-paced environment.
Experience identifying operational issues and recommending fixes or improvements.

Responsibilities

Execute, monitor, and train inventory best practices and SOPs for store, including front end and pharmacy.
Support pharmacy inventory management: receiving, counting, ordering, returns.
Manage on-shelf availability, pricing, and planograms accuracy.
Review reports and systems impacting front end and pharmacy on-hand balances.
Open/close store in absence of management and handle cash duties when required.
Lead customer experience by greeting and assisting customers; resolve issues.
Coordinate warehouse/vendor inventory processes: orders, scans, and deliveries.
Assist pharmacist‑in‑charge with verification of pharmacy shipments and postings.
