Job summary

Salcomp Manufacturing USA Corp. in Texas is seeking an Inventory Parts Specialist to maintain the Spare Parts Room, ensure inventory accuracy, and support audit-ready documentation.

You will manage inventory transactions in MaintainX, perform cycle counts, and assist with replenishment and purchasing workflows. The role requires at least one year in inventory or warehouse operations, strong detail orientation, and proficiency with Microsoft Office.

Job Summary

The Inventory Parts Specialist (IPS) is responsible for maintaining the Spare Parts Room, ensuring inventory accuracy, parts availability, and compliance with established procedures. This role manages inventory transactions in MaintainX, cycle counts, purchase requisitions, parts organization, training, and audit documentation.

Key Responsibilities

1. Spare Parts Room & Inventory Management

• Operate and maintain the Spare Parts Room in accordance with established SOPs.
• Issue, receive, and track spare parts accurately using MaintainX.
• Perform cycle counts, investigate discrepancies, and maintain accurate inventory records and reports.
• Monitor inventory levels and support replenishment needs.
• Maintain proper part identification, labeling, bin organization, and 5S standards.

2. Purchase Requisitions & Receiving

• Manage and track the Purchase Requisition (PR) approval workflow.
• Verify incoming spare parts against applicable documentation.

3. Operational Support & Training

• Assist Maintenance, Engineering, and other departments with identifying and locating spare parts.
• Train designated personnel on MaintainX and applicable inventory procedures.

4. Compliance & Process Improvement

• Maintain documentation to support internal and customer audits.
• Identify opportunities to improve inventory accuracy, organization, and processes.

Required Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Minimum of one (1) year of experience in inventory, parts, materials, warehouse operations, or a related role.
• Experience with cycle counting, receiving, inventory transactions, and reconciliation.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications.
• Strong attention to detail, organization, and communication skills.

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience in a manufacturing or spare parts inventory environment.
• Experience with MaintainX, CMMS, ERP, MRP, or a similar inventory management system.
• Familiarity with purchase requisition processes and 5S principles.

Work Environment and Physical Requirements

Work is performed in manufacturing, warehouse, maintenance, and Spare Parts Room environments. The position may require extended periods of standing, walking, or sitting, as well as bending, reaching, lifting/carrying up to 20 lbs., and pushing/pulling up to 50 lbs. Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) may be required in designated areas.
