Job summary

Custom Metal Designs in Oakland, FL is seeking an experienced Parts & Inventory Expediter to coordinate the movement of material and parts between production areas; maintain schedules and deadlines.

Location: Oakland, FL, 23 minutes from Orlando. Responsibilities include kitting, forklift operations, reading blueprints, data entry, and packaging for shipment. We offer a drug-free workplace and comprehensive benefits.

Qualifications

• Must be able to lift, carry, push, and pull up to 50-60 lbs regularly.
• Ability to work outdoors/open areas with changing weather conditions.
• Frequent bending, stooping, standing and walking for long periods.
• Basic math and computer skills.
• Ability to work independently and complete tasks on time.
• Strong verbal communication and interpersonal skills.

Responsibilities

• Coordinate and expedite the flow of work and materials according to production schedule.
• Kitting parts and materials for assembly; consolidate materials per work orders.
• Review and distribute production, work, and shipment schedules with supervisors.
• Safely operate forklifts and heavy equipment.
• Load/unload raw materials and deliver to work centers to meet schedules.
• Read blueprints and input data into the company system.
