Job summary

Custom Metal Designs is seeking an experienced Parts & Inventory Expediter to coordinate the movement of materials between production areas in our Oakland, FL facility, supporting production schedules and on-time delivery.

The role requires forklift operation, ability to lift up to 50–60 lbs, reading blueprints, and strong teamwork. We offer a drug-free workplace and a comprehensive benefits package.

Qualifications

• Physically able to lift up to 50–60 lbs on a regular basis.
• Able to bend, stoop, stand and walk for long periods.
• Basic math and computer skills.
• Read blueprints, drawings, and work orders.
• Work well independently and in a team.

Responsibilities

• Coordinate and expedite flow of work and materials per production schedule.
• Kit parts and materials for assembly; consolidate materials per work order.
• Review production and shipment schedules with supervisors.
• Operate forklifts and heavy equipment safely.
• Load/unload raw materials and deliver to work centers via forklift.
• Document time and data entry into the data system per policy.
• Package parts for shipment using shrink wrap, pallets, and crates.
• Support shipping/receiving with packaging as required.
• Follow work order directions and ensure required quantity meets tolerance and quality.
