Job summary

Vistra Nuclear Operations Company in Perry, Ohio, seeks a Materials & Inventory Analyst to support the efficient management of materials and inventory across sites in the Vistra fleet. You will drive optimized availability of parts at the lowest total cost and partner with site teams to standardize parts and processes.

The role emphasizes data quality, stocking strategies (Min/Max, On-demand, VMI, Kanban), and collaboration with sourcing to identify cost-saving opportunities.

Qualifications

• 3+ years in warehouse supervision or procurement/inventory management.
• Cost reduction mindset to drive outcomes.
• Lean Six Sigma experience preferred.
• Strong written and verbal communication.
• Analytical ability to use data for business cases.
• Knowledge of inventory management processes.
• Experience with financial and inventory systems.
• Proficient in MS Office (PowerPoint/Word/Excel).
• High school diploma or equivalent.
• College degree or certifications are applicable.

Responsibilities

• Optimize inventory levels using the EAM system and site partnerships.
• Determine stocking strategies (Min/Max, On-demand, VMI, Kanban).
• Manage inventory reorder for sites.
• Improve data quality for item descriptions, vendors, and part numbers.
• Standardize parts/materials and seek cost-effective substitutes.
• Provide materials/inventory expertise on cross-functional teams.
• Support Strategic Sourcing with pricing and contracts.
• Identify centralization opportunities for common spares.
• Lead annual inventory reviews and dispositioning.
• Drive cost savings vs. baselines.
• Ensure safety, MSDS, Hazcom compliance.
• Lead process audits and warehouse process compliance.
• Support operations/maintenance in warehouse methods.
