Job summary

Standard Textile in the United States is seeking an Inventory Planner to optimize inventory across distribution centers, balance service levels, and minimize excess. You will partner with Sales, Operations, and Procurement to drive replenishment, analyze risks, and implement improvements that boost accuracy and customer satisfaction.

A hybrid schedule applies, with in-office days on Tuesdays - Thursdays during training and potential additional onsite days as needed.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience (2–5 years)
• Proficiency in spreadsheets (intermediate Excel)
• Experience in inventory planning, supply chain planning, demand planning, replenishment, inventory control
• Strong understanding of inventory management principles including safety stock and turns
• Experience with Oracle Fusion and Salesforce preferred
• Proven analytical and problem-solving skills to identify risks and provide recommendations
• Ability to track KPIs like backorder reduction and inventory utilization

Responsibilities

• Manage inventory levels across distribution centers to maintain product availability while minimizing excess and obsolete stock
• Monitor and reduce backorder risk through proactive planning and collaboration
• Analyze inventory imbalances and execute transfers and rebalancing strategies
• Monitor DC capacity utilization and optimize storage space usage
• Review inventory positioning to improve order fulfillment and reduce wrong DC shipments
• Maintain planning parameters and master data for accuracy
• Oversee inventory planning for consignment accounts
• Develop risk mitigation plans for backorders, capacity constraints, and slow-moving inventory
• Create and distribute inventory reports, KPI scorecards, and analyses
• Partner with Sales, Operations, Customer Service, Procurement and Supply Chain to resolve issues
• Lead continuous improvement initiatives for inventory optimization and service levels
• Prepare reports for monthly business reviews and planning meetings
• Participate in strategic supply chain projects and cross-functional initiatives
• Provide backup support for Salesforce-related processes
