Job summary

ZLINE Kitchen and Bath in Reno, NV is seeking an Inventory Analyst to optimize inventory across distribution centers. You will analyze levels, demand, and velocity to balance stock between East/West facilities and reduce cross-country shipments.

Responsibilities include managing kit SKUs, coordinating transfers, and maintaining data accuracy in ERP/WMS systems. Strong Excel/Sheets skills and cross-functional collaboration are essential for cost-effective fulfillment.

Qualifications

  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with the ability to interpret inventory, sales, and operational data.
  • Advanced working knowledge of Microsoft Excel and/or Google Sheets.
  • Ability to learn and effectively use warehouse management systems (WMS) and enterprise resource planning (ERP) systems.
  • Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple inventory movements, shipments, and priorities simultaneously.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Strong attention to detail and commitment to maintaining accurate inventory and shipment information.
  • Ability to make independent, data-driven decisions while considering cost, customer experience, inventory availability, and operational requirements.
  • Ability to communicate and collaborate effectively across warehouse, logistics, procurement, planning, and other business teams.
  • Ability to recognize inventory trends and proactively identify potential operational issues.

Responsibilities

  • Analyze company-wide inventory levels, sales velocity, demand, and warehouse availability to identify inventory imbalances across distribution locations.
  • Maintain appropriate inventory allocation between East and West Coast facilities to reduce cross-country shipments and fulfillment times.
  • Use inventory tools and reports to determine appropriate inventory actions.
  • Identify opportunities to reposition inventory based on trends and replenishment activity.
  • Monitor inventory levels and detect shortages, excess, and allocation issues before impacting orders.
  • Monitor inventory availability for kit SKUs and their components.
  • Ensure kit components are allocated within the same warehouse for complete kits.
  • Identify shortages or allocation issues and coordinate movements to resolve.
  • Identify when transfers between warehouses are necessary and coordinate transfers.
  • Coordinate and execute transfers using appropriate transportation method (FTL, LTL, parcel).
  • Arrange transportation for multiple shipment types and monitor transfers to completion.
  • Coordinate with warehouse teams and partners to schedule and document transfers.
  • Monitor transfers and address delays or discrepancies.
  • Maintain shared spreadsheets and inventory transfer trackers.
  • Ensure transfer information and shipment status are documented and accessible.
  • Maintain data accuracy across systems and reports.
  • Use Excel/Sheets to analyze data and support allocation decisions.
  • Coordinate with warehouse, procurement, planning, and logistics teams to resolve issues.
  • Communicate inventory decisions, shipment status, risks, and actions to stakeholders.
  • Assist with order management during shortages or replenishment.
  • Monitor out-of-stock and backordered orders requiring action.
  • Identify inventory solutions to improve fulfillment while minimizing transport costs.
  • Work with teams to ensure orders are released when inventory is available.
  • Provide ongoing feedback to Procurement/Planning on allocation and demand trends.
  • Support continuous improvement in inventory management processes.
