UFP Industries is looking for an Inventory Specialist to oversee a high-volume, small-part inventory program. You will organize large data sets, pull key information, and support continuous improvement in inventory processes.

This role emphasizes accuracy, timely issue resolution, and collaboration with sales and purchasing teams. The position requires a high school diploma and 2–3 years in related areas, with knowledge of accounting procedures and standard inventory practices.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Minimum 2 - 3 years of experience in related areas.
• Knowledgeable in company accounting procedures and inventory management concepts.
• Familiar with industry and company standard practices and procedures.

Responsibilities

• Maintains and manages inventory levels to ensure turns and inventory dollars stay within guidelines.
• Monitors inventory levels and resolves problems as they arise.
• Provides knowledge on inventory levels and cost to assist sales meeting customer needs.
• Ensures product availability and that best-priced products are purchased.
• Works with sales to address needs and communicate market changes.
• Assists monitoring, maintaining, and managing purchasing programs.
• Follows up on purchase orders for on-time arrival.
• Traces inbound products and resolves receiving claims promptly.
• Monitors aged inventory and creates hit lists for sales awareness.
• Cooperates with other locations to rectify over/under-stock and maintain optimal levels.
