Job summary

UFP Industries is seeking an Inventory Specialist to manage our inventory program for large-volume and small-part items. The role requires organizing substantial data and extracting key insights to drive continuous improvement.

You will help optimize turns, costs, and availability while supporting sales with timely information. The successful candidate will have 2-3 years of related experience and a strong understanding of inventory management concepts and accounting procedures.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• 2-3 years of experience in related areas.
• Knowledgeable in company accounting procedures and inventory management concepts.
• Familiar with industry and company standard practices and procedures.

Responsibilities

• Maintain and manage inventory levels to ensure turns and inventory dollars meet guidelines.
• Monitor inventory levels, conditions, and resolve problems as they arise.
• Provide knowledge on inventory levels, cost, etc. to assist sales in meeting customer needs.
• Ensure product availability and purchase the best priced products.
• Coordinate with sales to address inventory issues and communicate market changes.
• Assist monitoring, maintaining, and managing purchasing programs.
