Job summary

Walgreens in New Jersey is seeking an Inventory Specialist to manage and train inventory processes across the store and pharmacy. You will receive, count, price, and return merchandise, create planograms, and ensure accuracy of on-hand balances.

You will review reports, protect assets, handle vendor returns, and open/close responsibilities when needed. You will engage customers and coach staff on inventory and service best practices at Walgreens.

Qualifications

• Must be fluent in reading, writing, and speaking English (except in Puerto Rico).
• Six months of prior work experience in retail or a related role.
• Willingness to work a flexible schedule, including evenings and weekends.
• Demonstrated attention to detail and ability to multi task and manage execution.
• Experience in identifying operational issues and recommending solutions.

Responsibilities

• Execute, monitor, and train inventory best practices for store and pharmacy, including receiving, counting, pricing, returns, and planograms.
• Review and coordinate use of reports and systems affecting front end and pharmacy on-hand balances and pricing.
• Execute and maintain front end and pharmacy asset protection and file claims for overages, shortages, and damaged goods.
• Open/close store in absence of management, handle cash, and ensure readiness for business day.
• Engage customers, resolve issues, and model Walgreens service traits for a positive experience.
• Coaching team on warehouse and vendor inventory processes, placing orders, and scanning deliveries.
