Job summary

Walgreens in New Jersey is seeking a detail‑oriented team member to manage inventory for both front end and pharmacy. You will receive, count, price, return items, and ensure planograms are accurate while preserving on‑shelf availability and pricing integrity across the store.

The role includes reviewing reports, performing asset protection tasks, assisting with store opening/closing, coordinating with pharmacy shipments, recalls and vendor returns, and delivering a positive customer experience

Qualifications

• Six months of prior work experience with Walgreens (internal candidates) or one year of prior retail work experience (external candidates).
• Must be fluent in reading, writing, and speaking English (except in Puerto Rico).
• Must have a willingness to work a flexible schedule, including evening and weekend hours.
• We will consider qualified applicants with arrest and conviction records.
• Demonstrated attention to detail and ability to multi task and manage execution.
• Experience in identifying operational issues and recommending and implementing strategies to resolve problems.

Responsibilities

• Execute, monitor, and train inventory best practices for the entire store, including front end and pharmacy.
• Review reports and systems to ensure accurate front end and pharmacy on-hand balances and pricing.
• Perform front end and pharmacy asset protection tasks and process vendor overages, shortages, and damaged goods.
• Open/close store as needed, including cash handling and cashier responsibilities.
• Engage customers and resolve issues to ensure a positive experience.
• Coordinate warehouse and vendor inventory, including receiving, counting, and placing orders.
• Complete pharmacy inventory activities and postings, recalls, returns and transfers.
