Job summary

InterMetro Industries is seeking a Materials & Inventory Supervisor for its Wilkes-Barre Manufacturing Plant. You will lead the Materials & Inventory Department, ensuring material availability, efficient ordering and storage, and cost control.

You will supervise management and union staff, drive continuous improvement, and align operations with Metro strategic objectives. Candidates should have 10+ years in materials/inventory roles and relevant ERP experience.

Qualifications

• High school diploma and minimum of 10 years of relevant experience required.
• Materials and Inventory Management, Supply/Demand Management, Supply Chain processes and Oracle/Gains systems experience preferred.
• Bachelor’s degree and/or relevant certifications preferred.

Responsibilities

• Maintain appropriate quantities of raw materials, WIP, and finished goods to ensure on-time delivery.
• Direct all activities for ordering, movement, storage, and processing of inventory.
• Monitor forecasts, quotas, and production capacity to ensure material availability.
• Define and implement KPIs for material and inventory factors like cost, availability, quality, and delivery.
• Analyze inventories to improve turns, reduce waste, and optimize supplier relations.
• Design and improve purchasing, MRP, inventory control, warehousing, and receiving processes.
• Oversee cycle counting and annual physical inventory; improve accuracy reporting.
• Direct interplant shuttles and shipments to Distribution Centers.
• Perform Buyer duties as needed and promote 5S principles.
• Collaborate with IT to enhance inventory materials applications.
