Job summary

Lakeview Precision in Illinois is seeking a Material Handler responsible for safe, accurate receiving, staging, and internal transport of bar stock, plus loading and unloading skids for shipping. This role supports Logistics and Production by maintaining inventory records in JobBOSS and delivering material to production with strict quality and traceability.

The ideal candidate is detail-oriented, safety-conscious, and comfortable operating a forklift and boom in a fast-paced manufacturing

Qualifications

• Experience in receiving, staging, and internal transport of materials.
• Ability to operate a forklift and boom safely in a manufacturing setting.
• Proficient in inventory management and record-keeping.
• Comfortable working with quality and traceability standards.

Responsibilities

• Safely receive, unload, and inspect incoming bar stock shipments and verify against packing slips and certifications.
• Transport bar stock between receiving, staging, and machine centers; load/unload skids for shipping.
• Maintain accurate raw stock quantities and locations in JobBOSS; perform physical and cycle counts.
• Pick, stage, and deliver bar stock to production per job orders and priority.
• Operate forklift/boom and complete daily pre-operation inspections; report issues promptly.
• Verify material quality and certifications; segregate nonconforming material and notify Quality Control.
• Maintain documentation of receipts, transfers, and movements in JobBOSS and shipping paperwork.
