Job summary

Doherty Staffing Solutions in Estherville, IA is seeking a Material Handler to support warehouse operations. This temporary role involves organizing inventory, moving materials between receiving, production, and shipping, and ensuring ERP records are accurate.

You will operate forklifts and RF scanners, perform cycle counts, and collaborate with Shipping, Manufacturing, and Purchasing to smooth material flow.

Qualifications

• 1+ year of warehouse, inventory, or material handling experience in a manufacturing environment.
• 1+ year of forklift operating experience.
• Ability to safely operate forklifts, pallet jacks, RF scanners, and other warehouse equipment.
• Basic computer skills and the ability to use ERP or MRP systems.
• Ability to stand and walk for extended periods during the shift.
• Ability to lift, carry, push, and pull up to 50 pounds.
• Ability to follow safety procedures and wear required PPE.
• Reliable transportation and strong attendance record.

Responsibilities

• Maintain organized and accurate inventory by placing materials in designated locations and completing system transactions.
• Move materials, finished goods, and inventory between receiving, warehouse, production, and shipping areas.
• Replenish stock locations and Normal Bins based on inventory priorities and production needs.
• Perform cycle counts and inventory audits to ensure inventory accuracy.
• Operate forklifts, pallet jacks, RF scanners, and other material handling equipment safely.
• Work with Shipping, Manufacturing, and Purchasing teams to resolve inventory and material flow issues.
• Enter inventory adjustments and maintain accurate inventory records in the ERP system.
