Job summary

Stoughton Trailers, LLC is seeking a dependable Material Handler to maintain precise inventory levels and move materials through production. You will operate forklifts and related equipment, verify shipments, document discrepancies, and stock materials across designated areas.

Daily tasks include counts, data entry, and ensuring timely deliveries to production lines. The role requires a current forklift license, hands-on inventory control experience, and a manufacturing background.

Qualifications

• Must hold current forklift license/certification.
• Hands-on experience with inventory management and control.
• Background in a manufacturing environment.

Responsibilities

• Maintain precise inventory levels and supply designated production areas with the right materials at the right time.
• Operate essential tools and equipment: forklifts, hand jacks, tape measures, calculators, computers, loading docks, cranes, scales, data collection equipment, radios, and copy machines.
• Verify the accuracy of incoming material shipments and document discrepancies.
• Inspect materials for defects and quality concerns before stocking.
• Receive and stock materials in the correct sector locations.
• Perform cycle counts and full physical counts for assigned items.
• Accurately document all shipments to production areas.
• Use a computer to access information and process all related paperwork promptly.
• Follow daily picking instructions and supply materials to designated areas, including manual placement, transfers between warehouses, and returns to stock.
• Load and unload materials from trailers and trucks.
• Conduct daily equipment checks—including fluid levels—and complete required checklists.
• Work safely, efficiently, accurately, and productively in alignment with company policy.
• Support team efforts to deliver a high-quality product.
• Attend scheduled shifts consistently and on time; maintain strong attendance.
• Be available for mandatory overtime as required.
• Ensure the safety of others working near moving vehicles.
• Follow all company policies and procedures and communicate effective within a team environment.
• Perform other duties as assigned.
