Job summary

Avo Photonics is seeking an experienced Inventory Manager to lead stockroom operations, drive accuracy, and ensure material availability for production. You will coach staff, manage cycle counts, and collaborate with Production, Planning, Receiving and Quality to optimize material flow.

The role requires 7–10 years in manufacturing inventory management, strong ERP experience (SAP preferred), ISO context, and meticulous organization in a cleanroom environment with PPE.

Qualifications

  • BS in Supply Chain, Business, Operations, or related discipline.
  • 7–10 years of inventory/stockroom management experience in manufacturing.
  • Experience handling small, high‑value, or fragile components.
  • Experience in ISO‑certified manufacturing environments.
  • Experience with ERP systems (SAP preferred).
  • Comfortable in a clean manufacturing environment with PPE.
  • Highly organized and able to prioritize workload.

Responsibilities

  • Train, coach, and develop inventory staff.
  • Drive a culture of accountability, ownership, and procedural discipline.
  • Manage daily stockroom operations, including storage, picking, issuing, and replenishment.
  • Enforce proper handling and storage of delicate and ESD-sensitive components.
  • Maintain inventory accuracy through cycle counting and reconciliation.
  • Ensure timely distribution of material kits to production staff across shifts.
  • Optimize stockroom layout and material flow to improve efficiency and reduce damage risk.
  • Partner with Production, Planning, Receiving, and Quality teams for material availability.
  • Assign tasks, set priorities, and monitor progress to meet daily production schedules.
  • Support company-wide Manufacturing Execution System implementation.
  • Maintain MRP settings for shelf min/max and purchase order requests for consumables.
  • Participate in physical inventory at the end of each half-year.

Specifically:

  • Train, coach, and develop inventory staff.
  • Drive a culture of accountability, ownership, and procedural discipline.
  • Manage daily stockroom operations, including material storage, picking, issuing, and replenishment.

  • Maintain high levels of inventory accuracy through cycle counting and reconciliation processes.
  • Ensure timely distribution of material kits to first, second, and weekend-shift production staff.
  • Optimize stockroom layout and material flow to improve efficiency and reduce risk of damage.
  • Partner with Production, Planning, Receiving, and Quality teams to ensure timely material availability.
  • Assign tasks, set priorities, and monitor progress to meet daily production schedules.
  • Support company-wide implementation of Manufacturing Execution System.
  • Maintain MRP settings for consumable material shelf minimums and maximums.
  • Manage shelf minimums and enter purchase order requests for consumable materials.
  • Participate in physical inventory at the end of each half-year.

Requirements:

  • BS in Supply Chain, Business, Operations, or related discipline.
  • 7–10 years of inventory or stockroom management experience in a manufacturing environment.
  • Experience handling small, high-value, or fragile components preferred.
  • Experience in ISO-certified manufacturing environments preferred.
  • Experienced with ERP systems (SAP preferred).
  • Comfortable working in a clean manufacturing environment while wearing required PPE.
  • Highly organized and efficient at prioritizing workload.
