Job summary

State of Ohio is seeking an Inventory/Storeroom Lead to supervise incarcerated individuals in receiving, inspecting, storing, and distributing stock across warehouse operations. You will enforce procedures, maintain logs, and handle mail and parcel processing with related equipment.

Responsibilities include operating safety procedures, auditing records, stocking, labeling, and ensuring efficient stock rotation, while maintaining daily records and logs in a secure environment.

Qualifications

• Arithmetic education including fractions and percentages.
• 6 months training or 6 months' experience in inventory control.
• 3 months training or 3 months' experience in OSHA or other safety standards.

Responsibilities

• Lead team in receiving, inspecting, storing, and distributing stock, supplies and equipment.
• Enforces storeroom or warehouse procedures.
• Maintains shipping, receiving and inventory records.
• Operates mail handling, postage machines, and inspects parcels.
• Operates x-ray equipment to scan incoming parcels for contraband.
• Follows security procedures and notifies staff for investigations.
• Loads/unloads trucks and distributes contents to offices.
• Maintains daily records and log books for assigned area.
• Ensures stock is rotated and properly labeled.
• Maintains safe work area and follows safety rules.
