Job summary

Bay Area Rapid Transit seeks an accomplished leader to manage the Inventory and Stores Logistics Division within the Procurement and Materials Management Department. Reporting to the Director of Procurement or designee, this managerial position directs the efficient flow of materials and goods throughout the District and provides complex administrative support to the Director.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Business Administration, Economics, Public Administration, or a closely related field.
• Five years of full-time professional verifiable experience in logistics management or inventory management, including two years of supervisory experience.
• Experience overseeing inventory control, audits, discrepancy reconciliation, and disposition of obsolete stock.
• Ability to develop goals, policies, and standards for a comprehensive inventory and stores logistics program.

Responsibilities

• Manage the Inventory and Stores Logistics Division and ensure efficient flow of materials throughout the District.
• Develop and implement inventory procedures; maintain accurate records and inventories.
• Plan space utilization, acquire storage facilities, and manage warranty materials.
• Monitor service delivery, train and evaluate staff, and participate in budget development and administration.
• Serve as liaison to other divisions and committees, and stay informed on laws and regulations to improve equipment and procedures.
