Job summary

Paragon Staffing LLC in North Brunswick, NJ, is seeking a Shipping & Receiving/Forklift Operator to maintain accurate inventory and inspect incoming shipments. You will reconcile packing slips and ensure proper storage or delivery to the correct departments.

You will enter data into MAS 500, locate and consolidate stock, and move items using hand trucks and forklifts. Use handheld scanners and work with other departments to meet customer demand.

Qualifications

• Must maintain computerized inventory system promptly and accurately.
• Able to work effectively with all levels of employees; strong English language skills.
• Experience operating powered industrial trucks (forklifts, order pickers, walkies, trans-stackers, clamp trucks); certification desirable.
• Ability to read and interpret work orders; basic math.
• High school diploma or equivalency.

Responsibilities

• Inspect shipments and reconcile packing slips with items.
• Enter materials into MAS 500 system and post transactions.
• Locate and consolidate received materials to a bin location.
• Coordinate with other departments to ensure steady material flow.
• Move materials using hand trucks and forklifts.
• Use handheld scanners to track materials.
• Maintain knowledge of processes and equipment.
• Report problems to management or Maintenance Supervisor.
• Ensure safety and housekeeping of the area and quality standards.
• Suggest improvements to production methods and equipment.
• Identify non-conforming goods and inform QA.
• Utilize HQMS, Sage 500 ERP/DSCS and scanners.
• Ensure safety protocols are followed.
