Job summary

FMS Aerospace in Huntsville, AL is seeking a temporary entry-level Inventory Data Clerk to support our inventory control team. The role combines physical stacking and counting with basic data entry in Excel, Word, and Teams to keep logs up to date.

You will identify parts, convert bulk stock into kits, label enclosures, and ensure digital records match physical inventory. The ideal candidate has a high school diploma, 0–1 year of manufacturing experience, and the ability to stand, lift up to 30

Qualifications

• Education: High school diploma or GED.
• 0–1 year of experience in manufacturing or inventory settings.
• Ability to work 40 hours per week.
• Must be able to obtain DoD Secret clearance, if required.
• Accurate counting of small parts and precise data entry.
• Proficiency with Excel and Word for daily logging.
• Ability to navigate a shared network and locate files.
• Demonstrated attention to detail in matching part numbers.

Responsibilities

• Read and identify part numbers, lot numbers, and descriptions.
• Count and transfer parts from bulk to kits for production.
• Apply labels with part and lot numbers to kit enclosures.
• Enter counts and lot numbers into Excel spreadsheets.
• Navigate server folders and save inventory documents correctly.
• Communicate task updates via Microsoft Teams daily.
• Maintain a clean, organized inventory area and verify logs.
