Job summary

Motion Industries is seeking an Inventory Data Analyst to ensure proper inventory management across locations and to maximize profits and customer service. The role involves consulting on best practices, building dashboards, and collaborating with cross-functional teams to improve operational efficiency through data-driven insights.

The ideal candidate will have a bachelor’s degree in business/statistics/analytics, strong SQL and Excel skills, and experience with BI tools.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in business, statistics, analytics, or equivalent field work experience.
• Experience managing projects and strong quantitative/data analysis background.

Responsibilities

• Enforces Motion's inventory policies and procedures in daily communication with field leadership.
• Understands data governance and controls distribution of inventory data points.
• Identifies insights and trends to solve supply chain problems.
• Creates dashboards using current or future tools (Tableau/Power BI/Qlik).
• Collaborates with all areas of the supply chain to identify inventory opportunities.
• Builds simulation models forecasting outcomes of policy changes.
• Delivers comprehensive reports in presentations or written form.
• Works with IT to enhance inventory systems.
• Creates and delivers critical inventory trainings.
• Supports excess inventory initiatives and participates in annual inventory plan.
