Job summary

Sysco Northeast Rdc is seeking a detail-oriented inventory clerk to perform cycle counts and maintain accurate records of stock, value, and type of materials. The role includes researching discrepancies, quality checks, and supporting recalls as needed.

Additionally, this position serves as the Will-call Clerk on scheduled Saturdays, requiring reliable scheduling and strong communication with store teams. Prior warehouse experience is preferred, with a high school diploma as a baseline

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• 1 year of experience preferred in inventory or warehouse roles.
• Ability to write routine reports and correspondence.
• Excellent verbal and written communication in English.

Responsibilities

• Ensure the integrity of the physical count of inventory via cycle counting.
• Cycle counts the warehouse a minimum of four times a year.
• Performs quality checks on date sensitive, slow-moving and obsolete items.
• Research causes of weight variances and stock discrepancies.
• Check FIFO rotation and verify reserves and transfers.
• Coordinate will-call orders on Saturdays.
• Review standard management reports and research causes of inventory shrink.
