Job summary

Sysco Northeast RDC in Anchorage is seeking a detail-oriented inventory/finance Clerk to perform cycle counts and maintain records of material quantities, values, and types. The role includes researching discrepancies, conducting quality checks, supporting product recalls, and serving as the Will-call Clerk on Saturdays.

The ideal candidate has a high school diploma or equivalent and about 1 year of experience.

Qualifications

• High school degree or equivalent.
• 1 year of experience preferred.
• Strong math and data entry skills.
• Excellent verbal and written communication.

Responsibilities

• Ensure the integrity of the physical count of inventory via cycle counting and related duties.
• Cycle count the warehouse at least four times a year, covering all pick and reserve slots for discrepancies.
• Perform quality checks on date-sensitive, slow-moving, and obsolete items and assist with product recall processes.
• Research causes of weight variances, receiving/put-away/letdown issues, and damaged product during warehouse moves.
• Proactively verify FIFO rotation and proper stock handling.
• Coordinate will-call orders on Saturdays as scheduled.
• Review standard management reports and investigate causes of inventory shrink.
