DHL Global Forwarding in Chicago, IL is seeking a Warehouse Inventory Analyst (Cycle Counter) to ensure daily inventory accuracy and smooth warehouse operations. The role involves cycle counts, reconciliation, and maintaining documentation within our warehouse environment.

The ideal candidate will have warehousing experience in freight forwarding, strong analytical and communication skills, and the ability to identify deviations and implement corrective actions.

Qualifications

• Warehousing experience in a freight forwarding or international shipping environment.
• Strong analytical, data analysis, and problem solving skills.
• Inventory management and inventory control is a plus.
• Proficient in MS Office applications (Excel, Word, PowerPoint).
• Ability to recognize process deviations and propose corrective actions.

Responsibilities

• Perform daily inventory cycle counts and reconcile discrepancies.
• Audit freight locations against warehouse layout versus cycle count.
• Assist with relocation of cargo out of scope.
• Analyze and help develop warehouse export area procedures.
• Document and communicate dwelling of cargo to cargo owners.
• Resolve recurring issues and suggest improvements to warehouse methods.
• Maintain records in computerized systems such as logs, invoices, orders/receipts.
• Perform administrative duties to assist inventory cycle controls.
