Job summary

Core-Mark, a Performance Food Group company, is seeking an Inventory Cycle Counter to count physical inventory and research ways to improve inventory processes. You will provide inventory records for the warehouse and support quality assurance in warehouse practices.

This role requires counting materials, verifying counts against records, and preparing weekly reports. The position emphasizes accuracy, adherence to procedures, and the ability to work in a fast-paced distribution environment.

Qualifications

• High School degree or GED.
• 1-3 years of inventory experience in a warehouse environment.
• Proficient in Microsoft Office programs and intermediate general computer skills.
• Ability to pass forklift certification and operate other equipment as assigned.

Responsibilities

• Count materials, equipment, merchandise, and supplies in-stock; create total inventory records.
• Compare inventories to office records and compute figures from records.
• Verify clerical computations against physical count of stock and investigate discrepancies.
• Monitor inventory rotations and make recommendations as needed.
• Prepare reports such as inventory balances, weekly cycle counts, and production breakdowns.
• Review and investigate daily reports directed by the Auditor.
• Maintain shrink at or below company standard.
• Understand overall business and departments and their impact on inventory integrity.
