Job summary

Flexicon Corporation in Bethlehem, PA is seeking an Inventory Cost Analyst to join our Finance team. This role focuses on understanding and analyzing inventory costs in a manufacturing environment, including valuation, standard costs, variances, BOMs, work orders, labor and overhead, and ERP cost data.

The successful candidate will collaborate with Finance, Operations, Purchasing, Engineering and Warehouse teams to identify cost drivers, investigate discrepancies, and improve costing accuracy

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, Business, Supply Chain, or related field.
• 3+ years of hands-on inventory costing, product costing, cost accounting, or manufacturing cost analysis.
• Experience with standard costing and variance analysis.
• Experience analyzing inventory valuation, BOMs, material costs, work orders, labor, and overhead.
• Strong understanding of how inventory transactions affect product cost.
• Experience with ERP systems such as Epicor, SAP, Oracle, NetSuite, or Microsoft Dynamics.
• Advanced Excel skills and ability to handle large data sets.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
• Ability to investigate discrepancies and communicate findings clearly.
• Ability to work with Finance and Operations teams.

Responsibilities

• Analyze inventory valuation and costing for raw materials, WIP, and finished goods.
• Analyze standard versus actual costs and drivers of variances.
• Review BOMs, routings, labor rates, overhead allocations for accuracy.
• Analyze purchase price variances and supplier-related cost trends.
• Prepare cost reports and trend analyses for management.
• Support month-end and year-end inventory and manufacturing-cost analysis.
• Collaborate with Finance, Operations, Purchasing, Engineering, and Warehouse teams to improve costing accuracy.
