Job summary

The Vollrath Company is seeking an Inventory Cost Accounting Supervisor to oversee inventory records accuracy, cycle counts, and related accounting processes across domestic locations. The role requires strong analytical skills, experience in ERP systems, and supervisory responsibility to guide Inventory Specialists.

Responsibilities include reconciliations of book and perpetual inventories, variance reporting, and assisting with annual budgeting and LIFO reserves.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in accounting or related field.
• CPA or CMA preferred for advanced qualifications.
• Experience in inventory management with supervisory responsibility.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
• Excellent verbal and written communication abilities.
• Proficient in advanced Excel functions (pivot tables, formulas).

Responsibilities

• Oversee inventory records accuracy and cycle counts at all locations.
• Reconcile books and perpetual inventories across divisions.
• Prepare reports on forecasted vs. actual variances for inventory levels.
• Investigate cycle count variances and fix root causes.
• Support annual budgeting for manufacturing plants and departments.
• Assist with annual LIFO reserve calculations and cost components.
