Job summary

CommTech Global is seeking an Inventory Coordinator/Receiving Specialist to support procurement operations, prepare materials for transport, and ensure accurate inventory data. You will work with teams to deliver timely client service and maintain safety and quality standards.

The role requires forklift certification and experience with ERP systems, plus strong office software skills and attention to detail in a fast-paced environment.

Qualifications

  • High School Diploma or GED required.
  • 1+ year in inventory, warehouse, or related environment.
  • Forklift certification required.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, Outlook) and Adobe Acrobat Reader DC.
  • Able to work independently or in a team and maintain safety compliance.

Responsibilities

  • Record information of company assets in designated applications.
  • Tag assets for tracking and manage check-in/check-out to employees.
  • Prepare materials for transportation and verify accuracy before shipping.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to align procurement with internal needs.
  • Operate forklifts and document inventory transfers accurately.
  • Maintain a clean, safe work area and follow safety policies.
  • Assist Purchasing Manager with inventory, material management, or other duties.

Position Summary

The INVENTORY COORDINATOR/RECEIVING SPECIALIST is responsible for supporting our procurement operations by performing a variety of tasks including proper preparation of materials for transportation, accurate documentation of inventory and transportation information, and collaborate with teams to ensure professional and timely client service.

  • Recording information of company assets on specific applications
  • Tagging assets for tracking purposes
  • Checking assets in and out to company employees
  • Gathering assets to company requirement maintenance
  • Building Company designed equipment kits
  • Ensures accurate booking with shipping companies
  • Verifying product accuracy and condition before staging or shipping
  • Safely operating forklifts or other material handling equipment
  • Tracking and documenting inventory transfers
  • Ensuring accurate materials are received and complete quality control checks
  • Maintaining a clean and organized work area, ensuring compliance with safety policies and procedures
  • Collaborating with cross-functional teams to align procurement with internal needs
  • Assisting the Purchasing Manager with inventory, material management, or other duties as assigned

Requirements

  • Ability to work 40+ hours a week
  • High School Diploma/GED Certification
  • A minimum of 1 year experience in an inventory, warehouse or related environment
  • Forklift Certified
  • Ability to make repetitive movements, including bending/squatting
  • Proficient in applications such as Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, and Outlook) and Adobe Acrobat Reader DC
  • Ability to work alone or within a group
  • Self-driven to completion of job
  • Strong commitment to personal and team safety
  • Demonstrate strong interpersonal and organizational skills, and ability to multi-task
  • Effectively communicate and interact with all levels of the team, customers, and external contacts., via telephone, in written form, email, and in person
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced and changing environment
  • Excellent customer service skills

Physical Requirements

  • Must be able to travel from 10-20%
  • Ability to operate a forklift
  • Ability to lift and transport items weighing up to 50lbs
  • Ability to sustain a level of physical activity, including walking, climbing, bending, and sitting
  • Ability to read, comprehend, and follow company procedures and manufacturers' guidelines
  • Requires the ability to demonstrate regular and predictable attendance on the job
  • Valid active driver's license and the ability to operate a vehicle
  • Ability to pass all random DOT Drug and Alcohol Testing

Preferred Knowledge, Skills and Abilities

  • Experience with FlowTrac, or similar ERP systems
