University of Maryland Medical System in Largo, MD seeks an Inventory Coordinator-Operating Room to manage OR inventory, cycle counts and ordering. The role supports the surgical team by handling IV solutions, sharps, and related materials, coordinating with Materials Services and ensuring timely deliveries.
The ideal candidate has 1–3 years in healthcare inventory, knowledge of medical terminology, and the ability to work across facilities with a team-focused mindset.

In addition, our new space will allow us to expand our offerings as a community partner to help improve the health status of Prince George's County residents.

Under the regular direction of the Materials Manager - OR , the Inventory Coordinator-Operating Room assesses, plans, implements, and evaluates the comprehensive surgery inventory needs of the Operating Room Department in collaboration with the Medical Staff. The coordinator performs cycle counts, places orders, receives and dispatches shipments, tracks and manages tissues. Handles and distributes intravenous (IV) solutions as well as sharps, needles, razor blades and related materials.
GED required; H.S. Diploma preferred
1 - 3 years of related experience required; 3 - 5 years preferred
2 years of experience with inventory and supply chain in a hospital or related medical services setting preferred
