Job summary

POM Wonderful Del Rey is seeking an Inventory Coordinator to ensure inventory levels meet projected sales and to support multiple departments with inventory movement and accuracy. You will work across blending, drumming, and juice material areas, coordinating deliveries, transfers, and cycle counts.

The role requires 2-3 years in a similar position, proficiency with Oracle R12 and Excel, and forklift certification. Strong organizational and analytical skills are essential for success.

Responsibilities

• Determine weekly ingredient needs for filling based on production tracker.
• Schedule and arrange ingredients or raw materials delivery to Del Rey from off-site locations.
• Verify and schedule ingredient transfers for blending and drumming; push orders through Oracle.
• Work with Purchasing and R&D for approvals and inventory releases.
• Cycle count ingredients to verify quantity on hand after production consumption.
• Perform end-of-month counts, reconciliation, and adjustments for on-site and 3PL warehouses.
• Identify root causes for errors and communicate with Inventory Control Supervisor.
• Process reports in Oracle for EDI issues and invoice transfers; manage sales and transfer orders.
• Assist Customer Service with return authorizations and inventory documentation.

Job Description

The Inventory Coordinator will follow procedures to ensure the inventory levels necessary to meet projected sales demands. The Coordinator will coordinate and assist various departments with inventory movement and accuracy.

Compensation – $18 – $22. Final compensation will be dependent upon skills & experience.

Responsibilities

Blending & Drumming Area

• Determine weekly ingredient needs for filling based on production tracker.
• Schedule and arrange for ingredients or raw materials to be delivered to POM Del Rey from off‑site locations based on current inventory levels and production schedule for beverage.
• Verify and schedule ingredient transfers for blending & drumming and when requested by R&D.
• Work with Purchasing on ordering inventory as well as collaborating with Food Safety within R&D on approvals and releases of inventory to meet production needs.
• Cycle count ingredients to verify quantity on hand after production consumption.
• Complete inventory adjustments as needed using Oracle and Telnet.
• Track empty drum inventory for reorder when needed for off‑season & season.
• Perform end‑of‑month counts, reconciliation, and adjustments onsite and in 3PL warehouses.
• Identify root cause for all errors and communicate back to Inventory Control Supervisor.
• Push orders through Oracle for receipt of off‑site transfers.

Beverage Juice Raw Material & Finished Good Area

• Must have a forklift certification and be able to drive a forklift.
• Create and print out cycle counts for production counts based on production tracker, required weekly counts, and end‑of‑month counts.
• Transfer information obtained from printouts to saved Excel files.
• Review and reconcile all raw material or finished goods for plastics and filling and identify root cause for all errors and communicate back to Inventory Control Supervisor.

Both Areas

• Perform back‑up role for Inventory Control Supervisor.
• Process reports in Oracle for EDI issues, investigate and correct all issues.
• Process sales orders and transfer orders, then close those orders.
• Work with Customer Service to process all return authorizations to clear return queue in Oracle.
• File and submit all donation requests to Customer Service in a timely manner.
• Keep a running inventory of all PDN product to ensure inventory accuracy.
• Conduct spontaneous audits of all products, both finished and raw materials, as needed or requested.
• Create and update standard operating procedure documents and process flows as needed.
• Create and provide spontaneous inventory reports as requested internally or externally.

Qualifications

• 2‑3 years of experience in a similar role or an equivalent combination of education, training and experience that demonstrates the ability to perform the duties of the position.
• Functional knowledge of Oracle R12 and EDI structures.
• Advanced knowledge of PC software applications such as Excel, Word, PowerPoint & Outlook.
• Detail‑oriented with strong organizational, analytical, and problem‑solving skills.
• Open‑minded, collaborative, and team‑oriented attitude.
• Ability to multi‑task effectively and motivated to learn.
• Must be flexible on daily work schedule.
• Self‑starter with ability to work independently with minimal supervision.
• Forklift experience.

Estimated Time Commitment (Based on 8‑hour day)

Blending & Drumming Area

• 20% – Determining weekly needs
• 20% – Scheduling and arranging delivery of ingredients
• 20% – Verifying and scheduling ingredient transfer for blending & drumming
• 10% – Preparing & performing cycle counts
• 30% – End‑of‑month counts, reconciliation, and adjustments of inventory for on‑ and offsite locations.

Beverage Juice Raw Material & Finished Good Area

• 5% – Preparing work to perform cycle counts.
• 45% – Performing cycle counts and documenting and correcting location discrepancies.
• 50% – Data entry and reconciliation of cycle counts performed.

Education & Experience

2‑year college degree or equivalent experience.
