Job description

Job Title: Inventory Coordinator (Warehouse Operations)

About Us:

At Supreme Dumplings, we deliver moments of joy to our guests, team members, and the communities we serve. Our mission is to provide the most authentic Xiao Long Bao and other small bites of happiness through quality, service, and value.

Cooked traditionally in bamboo baskets, these iconic dumplings are perfected over centuries and lovingly crafted in our kitchens to provide an unparalleled authentic experience.

Our commitment to quality, exceptional service, and creating memorable dining experiences is at the heart of everything we do. We take pride in bringing Taiwanese culinary heritage to Honolulu, ensuring every bite tells a story of tradition, passion, and excellence.

Position Summary

The Inventory Coordinator owns the accuracy and flow of product through the Supreme Dumplings warehouse. This role is responsible for receiving incoming shipments, maintaining accurate inventory counts, fulfilling customer and wholesale orders on time and in full, and keeping the warehouse organized, clean, and audit-ready. The right person is detail-driven, comfortable on their feet, and takes pride in a warehouse where every case is where it should be and every order ships correctly the first time.

Key Responsibilities:
Inventory Management
  • Maintain accurate, real-time inventory records for all raw materials, packaging, and finished product.
  • Perform daily, weekly, and monthly cycle counts; investigate and resolve discrepancies and report root causes.
  • Apply FIFO/FEFO rotation to all perishable and frozen inventory to minimize spoilage, expiration, and shrink.
  • Monitor stock levels against par levels and flag low-stock or over-stock items to the Plant Manager.
  • Track lot codes, production dates, and expiration dates to support traceability and recall readiness.
  • Prepare inventory reports and assist with month-end and year-end physical inventory counts.
Receiving
  • Receive and verify all inbound deliveries against purchase orders, packing slips, and invoices.
  • Inspect incoming product for damage, temperature abuse, short shipments, and quality issues; document and escape discrepancies to purchasing and the vendor.
  • Log all receipts into the inventory system same-day and stage or put away product in the correct storage zone (dry, cooler, or freezer).
  • Pick, pack, label, and stage customer, wholesale, and distributor orders accurately and on schedule.
  • Verify order accuracy against pick tickets before release; confirm counts, product codes, and cold-chain requirements.
  • Prepare shipping documentation, bills of lading, and carrier labels; coordinate pickups with carriers and delivery drivers.
  • Communicate fulfillment delays, substitutions, or shortages promptly to the Plant Manager and sales team.
  • Process returns, damages, and credits per company procedure.
Organization & Warehouse Upkeep
  • Maintain a clean, organized, and clearly labeled warehouse, including racking, staging areas, cooler, and freezer.
  • Own the slotting and labeling system so product locations are accurate and easy for any team member to find.
  • Follow all food safety, sanitation, GMP, and HACCP requirements; support readiness for third-party and regulatory audits.
  • Adhere to all safety policies, including safe lifting, equipment operation, and cold-storage protocols.
  • Assist with other warehouse and production support duties as assigned.
    Qualifications:
    Required
    • High school diploma or GED equivalent.
    • 1–3 years of experience in inventory control, warehouse, receiving, or order fulfillment.
    • Strong attention to detail with solid basic math and counting accuracy.

    • Ability to work independently, prioritize, and stay organized in a fast-paced environment.
    • Reliable attendance and punctuality.
    Preferred
    • Experience in food manufacturing, cold storage, or a perishable-goods warehouse.
    • Familiarity with FIFO/FEFO, lot tracking, and food safety standards (HACCP, GMP, SQF).

    Physical Requirements & Work Environment
    • Ability to lift and carry up to 50 lbs. repeatedly throughout the shift.
    • Ability to stand, walk, bend, reach, and climb for the majority of an 8-hour shift.
    • Regular work in refrigerated and freezer environments with appropriate protective gear.
