Job summary

Atkore is seeking an Inventory Coordinator for Hobart, IN to maintain inventory, track orders, and manage cycle counts. You will report to the Warehouse Manager and use the ERP/WMS to ensure accurate records and timely put-away. This role requires 5 years of warehouse inventory experience and a high school diploma.

Responsibilities

• Maintain accurate inventory records including transfers, cycle counts, and receipts.
• Perform daily cycle counts as directed by Inventory Control Manager.
• Assist in tracking, sorting, and labeling inventory.
• Assist with critical inventory tasks to ensure correct quantity in stock.
• Maintain documentation and enter all paperwork receivables.
• Partner with Accounts Receivable to ensure transactions are accounted for.
• Maintain quarantine and Q-Hold product in local ERP system.
• Manufacture product and returns in local ERP system.
• Ensure safety guidelines are followed.
• Perform miscellaneous job-related duties as assigned.
• Compile balance and cost reports for inventory adjustments.
• Assist with multiple Physical Inventory Audits throughout the Fiscal Year.
• Complete RMA paperwork in ERP and follow up with item put-away.

Who we are looking for:

We are currently looking for an Inventory Coordinator to be based out of Hobart, IN. Reporting to the Warehouse Manager, this person will be responsible for maintaining inventory, supplies, or products, including recording new items within the warehouse. This person will also track orders, materials, backorders, or new products that come into and go out of the inventory via inventory records. The ideal candidate will have 5 years of inventory experience in a warehouse environment. Experience in lean manufacturing or business system-based company is a plus.

What you’ll do:

• Maintain updated and accurate records of inventory (Finished Goods and RAW/WIP), including transfers, cycle counts and Receipts in IN-Transit (INTR)
• Perform daily cycle counts as directed by the Inventory Control Manager
• Assist in tracking, sorting, and labeling inventory as needed
• Help perform critical inventory tasks to ensure the correct quantity of items are in stock
• Maintain documentation, enter, and keep accurate records of all paperwork receivables
• Partners with the company’s accounts receivables department to ensure that all transactions are being accounted for
• Maintain Quarantine and Q-Hold product in local ERP system, ensuring follow-up for physical product put-away
• Manufacture product and returns in local ERP system
• Ensure safety guidelines are strictly followed
• Performs miscellaneous job-related duties as assigned
• Compiling balance and cost reports for needed Inventory Adjustments following DOA
• Assist with multiple Physical Inventory Audits throughout the Fiscal Year
• Complete customer complaint Investigations, maintaining company CMPO metrics
• Complete RMA paperwork in ERP system and follow up with item put-away

What you’ll bring:

• 5 years inventory experience required
• High School Diploma or GED preferred
• Proficient with computers, inventory software programs, Microsoft Office, and local ERP software
• Demonstrated ability to pay close attention to detail and immediately notice any discrepancies regarding inventory and finances
• Ability to multitask in a fast-paced work environment while creating solutions to previously unsolved issues
• Ability to lift and manipulate up to 50lbs

Within 3 months, you’ll:

• Complete your Atkore Immersion Plan
• Understand your job and how it will help deliver Atkore’s strategy
• Understand the goals laid out for the team and how your job impacts them directly

Within 6 months, you’ll:

• Partner with teams to achieve goals laid out for the year
• Be able to do all day-to-day functions of inventory with minimal follow-up
• Be sufficient in utilizing all WMS software and systems

Within 12 months, you’ll:

• Be able to resolve any discrepancies or inventory issues daily
• Assist with training and development of inventory processes

As of the date of this posting, a good faith estimate of the current pay for this position is $ 47,040 - $64,680 . Placement in the range depends on several factors including, but not limited to, specific competencies, relevant education, qualifications, certifications, relevant experience, skills, seniority, performance, shift, travel requirements, and business or organizational needs and may change over time. Other compensation may include, but not limited to, overtime, shift differentials, bonuses, commissions, stock, and other incentives.
