Job summary

CHI in Houston is seeking an Inventory Professional to efficiently manage supplies and equipment, maintaining optimal stock levels and accurate records. Daily duties include receiving, stocking, issuing, and tracking inventory, performing counts, reconciling discrepancies, processing orders, and using inventory management software.

The successful candidate will demonstrate meticulous attention to detail, strong organizational skills, and experience with inventory systems to support cost control

Qualifications

  • Required Bachelor's degree in Business, Industrial Engineering, Accounting, Finance, or closely related field.
  • 2–7 years of experience within Supply Chain, Finance, or Accounting, or closely related field, upon hire.
  • Healthcare environment experience preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Receives, stocks, issues, and tracks inventory daily.
  • Performs counts, reconciles discrepancies, processes orders.
  • Utilizes inventory management systems for control and reporting.
  • Monitors overall inventory performance for all facilities in division.
  • Manages relationship with distribution vendor for timely deliveries.
  • Coordinates annual physical inventory counts and reports.
  • Ensures optimal inventory levels and reallocates products as needed.
  • Supports inventory accounting per CHI standards.
  • Coordinates recall processes for the division.

As an Inventory Professional, you will efficiently and accurately manage supplies and equipment, ensuring optimal stock levels.

Every day you will receive, stock, issue, and track inventory, performing counts, reconciling discrepancies, processing orders, and utilizing management systems.

To be successful, you will demonstrate meticulous attention to detail, strong organizational skills, and proficiency in inventory software, crucial for operational efficiency and cost control.

  • Monitors and is accountable for overall inventory performance for all facilities in division
  • Manages relationship with the distribution vendor, ensuring strong rapport and efficient/timely delivery of needed supplies
  • Ensures all facilities in division achieve optimal inventory levels, organizing the reallocation of products if areas show signs of overstocking or understocking
  • Supports and validates comprehensive and accurate inventory accounting consistent with CHI standards
  • Initiates and oversees annual physical inventory counts, developing relevant reports and presentations
  • Coordinates recall processes and procedures for a given division
Job Requirements
Required
  • Bachelors Other in Business, Industrial Engineering, Accounting,Finance, Business, or closely related field and Two (2) to seven (7) years’ experience within Supply Chain, Finance,or Accounting, or closely related field, upon hire and
  • None, upon hire
Preferred
  • Relevant experience in a healthcare environment and computersystems preferred. Incumbents in his job will be grandfathered intoeducational requirements, upon hire
