Job summary

Americanmercyhomecare is seeking a Patient Care Assistant to help patients feel safer and more comfortable by assisting with daily life activities, such as personal hygiene, mobility, and feeding.

You will support nursing staff by monitoring vital signs, preparing patient rooms, recording intake and output, and assisting with daily weight measurements. A compassionate, coachable attitude and reliability are essential.

Qualifications

• High School diploma or GED upon hire.
• BLS/CPR certification within 14 days.
• Ability to follow RN delegation and monitor patient conditions.

Responsibilities

• Provides direct patient care as delegated by RN staff.
• Monitors and records vital signs.
• Assists with personal hygiene and daily living activities.
• Accurately measures, records, and reports intake and output.

Job Summary and Responsibilities

As our Patient Care Assistant, you’ll help our patients feel safer and more comfortable by assisting with their basic daily life activities.

Every day, you will directly support patients with tasks such as personal hygiene, mobility, and feeding, while also assisting nursing staff with vital sign monitoring and preparing patient rooms.

Your success in this role comes from your genuine desire to help patients feel better, whether that means giving them fresh bed linens or checking their vitals. You're diligent about your tasks, observant of patients’ conditions improving or declining, and accept coaching well.
