Weiler Forestry Warehouse in LaGrange, GA is seeking a full-time Warehouse Associate to coordinate materials, receive, store and ship items. You will read schedules, pick orders, and use a forklift to move goods between receiving, storage, and packing/shipping areas.

The role requires a High School Diploma or GED, 1 year of related manufacturing experience, and proficiency with Excel. Forklift certification is preferred. The position operates on day shift with safety as a priority.

  • Sorts and places materials or items on racks, shelves, or in bins according to product code.
  • Fills requisitions, work orders, or requests for materials, tools, or other stock items and distributes items to production workers.
  • Assembles customer orders from stock and places orders on pallets or shelves.
  • Operates forklift to transport stored items.
  • Records amounts of materials received or distributed.
  • Enters records on the computer.

Job Location: Weiler Forestry Warehouse - LaGrange, GA 30241

Position Type: Full Time

Salary Range: $18.00 - $22.00 Hourly

Job Shift: Day

SUMMARY

Responsible for the overall coordination of manufactured and or purchased items in the plant. Receives, stores, ships, and distributes materials, tools, equipment, and products within an establishment or to external customers by performing the following duties.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
  • Read production schedules, customer orders, work orders, shipping orders, or requisitions to determine items to be moved, gathered, or distributed.
  • Conveys materials and items from receiving or production areas to storage or to other designated areas.
  • Sorts and places materials or items on racks, shelves, or in bins according to predetermined sequence such as size, type, style, color, or product code.
  • Fills requisitions, work orders, or requests for materials, tools, or other stock items and distributes items to production workers or assembly line.
  • Assembles customer orders from stock and places orders on pallets or shelves, or conveys orders to packing station or shipping department.
  • Performs straightforward assembly in Kitting Area.
  • Marks materials with identifying information.
  • Opens bales, crates, and other containers.
  • Records amounts of materials or items received or distributed.
  • Weighs or counts items for distribution within the plant to ensure conformance to company standards.
  • Enters records on the computer.
  • Drives vehicle or forklift to transport stored items from warehouse to plant or to pick up items from several locations for shipment.
  • Completes requisition forms to order supplies from other plant departments.
  • Works in a safe manner at all times, following all safety guidelines.
SUPERVISORY RESPONSIBILITIES

This job has no supervisory responsibilities.

EDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCE

High School Diploma or General Education degree (GED).

1 year related experience in a manufacturing environment and/or additional related education preferred.

CERTIFICATES, LICENSES AND REGISTRATIONS

Weiler Forklift Operators Certificate

COMMUNICATION SKILLS

Ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, and procedure manuals. Must have strong leadership skills, with excellent oral and written communication skills. Ability to speak effectively before groups of customers and employees of the organization.

MATHEMATICAL SKILLS

Ability to add, subtract, multiply, and divide in all units of measure, using whole numbers, common fractions, and decimals.

COMPUTER SKILLS

Ability to perform simple tasks, such as setting tabs, opening and closing files, and simple formulas. Prior experience with a computer required. Excel and Intuitive are used to complete the tasks of the job.
