Job summary

Mill Creek Lumber & Supply Co in Jones, OK is seeking a Warehouse Inventory Associate for full-time, first shift. You will stock and rotate products, operate a forklift to unload inbound freight, and assist with pulling loads for delivery as needed.

Qualifications

• Excellent communication with warehouse staff, purchasing, and vendors.
• Basic understanding of inventory control procedures.
• Proficient keyboarding skills.
• Extremely organized and able to work with minimum supervision.
• Ability to develop professional relationships with vendors.
• Ability to perform basic math calculations.
• Forklift certification preferred but not required.

Responsibilities

• Stocks and rotates all product.
• Operates forklift to unload inbound freight.
• Assists material handlers on getting loads pulled for delivery when needed.
• Investigates and corrects inventory discrepancies.
• Partners with marketing, pricing, and accounts payable departments to resolve system and/or invoice cost discrepancies and determine corrective action with vendor to resolve.
• Develops and maintains good working relationships with vendors.
• Maintains accurate daily records of goods received and shipments made.
• Manages and maintains inventory system; facilitates upgrades to related database and/or software under the direction of the purchasing or inventory control manager.
• Conducts frequent spot and partial audits of physical inventory.
• Provides sales and informational assistance on products and freight to staff and customers.
• Returns defective merchandise and ensures proper and timely credit is received from vendor.
• Provides guidance and training to less experienced co-workers.
• Assists with periodic (at least annual) physical inventory audits.
• Performs other related duties as requested.
