Job summary

PARR is seeking an Operational Inventory Controller in Salem, Oregon. The role focuses on ensuring accuracy between physical counts and the POS system, requiring meticulous organization and attention to detail.

You will collaborate with Location Management and other team members to maintain inventory integrity across the facility. Qualifications include a High School Diploma or GED, experience in lumber/inventory control, and proficiency with Microsoft Office and POS systems.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED equivalent.
• Experienced in the Lumber industry.
• Knowledgeable in inventory control principles and protocols.
• Ability to speak, write, and read English required.
• Must be able to operate a personal computer, smartphone, scanner, and any other equipment necessary for the job.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Word, Excel, and Outlook.
• Point-of-sale system experience.
• Class C driver’s license with good driving record.
• Understanding of auditing best practices preferred.
• Ability to operate a forklift preferred.
• Shoes that are puncture resistant, slip resistant, and leather or composite materials required.

Responsibilities

• Perform inventory counts daily (cycle counts, stock checks, etc.).
• Maintain accurate inventory counts in relation to system counts.
• Investigate causes of inventory discrepancies and correct negatives.
• Maintain and adjust inventory for damages, theft, or cull.
• Audit inventory for dead stock and non-stock items.
• Collaborate with other OICs and locations on inventory issues.
• Maintain product locations and site location maps.
• Participate in physical inventories and audits at other locations.
• Assist with receiving, stocking, and pricing processes.
• Be a safety advocate and support location management.
