Job summary

Lineage in Kearny, NJ seeks a detail-oriented 1st Shift Inventory Specialist to join our fast-paced operations team. Monday to Friday 6:00AM - 2:30PM, you will ensure inventory accuracy and support smooth product movement throughout the facility.

You will be responsible for inventory tracking, cycle counting, claims management, and coordinating product receipt, storage, and shipping activities with a strong emphasis on accuracy and process discipline.

Qualifications

• Must have strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
• Proficient with computers; includes Microsoft Office Suite.
• Able to work in cold and dry storage environments; PPE required.
• Ability to lift at least 40 lb and handle physical tasks.
• Flexible schedule and shift availability, including weekends if needed.

Responsibilities

• Maintain inventory records including purchasing, shipping, and stock data.
• Compile data from POs, invoices, requisitions, and accounting reports.
• Determine stock replenishment needs and reorder points.
• Investigate damages, adjustments, and shrinkage.
• Perform cycle counts and assist with physical inventories.
• Verify shipping orders against catalogs, product lists, and IDs.
• Identify obsolete items and recommend disposal.
• Operate warehouse equipment following safety standards.

1st Shift Role

Monday - Friday 6:00AM - 2:30PM

Join a fast-paced operations team where you'll be responsible for ensuring inventory accuracy and supporting the seamless movement of products throughout the facility. This role oversees inventory tracking, cycle counting, claims management, and account administration, while coordinating product receipt, storage, and shipping activities. Success in this position requires strong attention to detail, effective problem-solving skills, and a commitment to maintaining the supplies and resources needed to keep operations running smoothly.

What You'll Do

• Keep inventory, purchasing, shipping and other records
• Put together data from purchase orders, invoices, requisitions, and accounting reports
• Determine stock supply and need for replenishment
• Look into damages, inventory adjustments, and shrink issues
• Find product to ensure correct product ID, conduct cycle counts regularly and assist in physical inventories
• Look at stock numbers, pallet IDs, authorized substitutes, and other listed information with catalogs, manuals, product lists, and similar references to verify accuracy of shipping order
• Review files to find unused items and recommend disposal of excess or damaged products
• Operate warehouse material handling equipment to move product while following all regulatory and company safety standards, policies, and procedures.

What You'll Bring

• Ability to understand instructions in Country's official language or as defined by Lineage Logistics
• Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail
• Proficient computer skills, including Microsoft Office Suite
• Ability to work in temperatures as low as -20 Fahrenheit/-25 Celsius in cold storage sites or up to 100 Fahrenheit/37 Celsius in dry storage sites while wearing company provided personal protective equipment and freezer gear
• Must be able to lift a minimum of 40 lbs.; weight may be more dependent upon facility
• Ability to work a flexible work schedule and shift, including weekends if needed

Pay Range:$19.18 - $32.40
