Job summary

Ingersoll Rand in Alsip, IL is seeking an Inventory Control Manager to oversee inventory integrity across raw materials, WIP, and finished goods. This hands-on leadership role requires directing daily activities, enforcing standard work, and maintaining SAP discipline while driving accuracy and performance.

The ideal candidate will have 4+ years in inventory control in industrial manufacturing, strong supervisory experience, and SAP proficiency.

Qualifications

• Associate's degree. (required)
• 4+ years of experience in inventory control or materials management in an industrial manufacturing setting.
• 3+ years of experience with inventory control audits.
• 2+ years of experience supervising and leading team members who are direct reports.
• 2+ years of demonstrated experience with SAP.
• 1+ years of experience leading a physical inventory.

Responsibilities

• Lead inventory control activities across raw materials, WIP, finished goods and MRO inventory.
• Maintain inventory accuracy through cycle counts, reconciliation and root-cause analysis.
• Apply IR Excellence (IRX) and continuous improvement principles to improve material flow and efficiency.
• Develop, enhance and standardize inventory control processes to improve accuracy and compliance across manufacturing operations.
• Partner cross-functionally with Production, Scheduling, Purchasing and Shipping.
• Analyze inventory KPIs including turns, shortages and variances.
• Ensure compliance with internal controls, audit requirements and EHS standards.
• Train, coach and develop team members while fostering accountability and engagement.
