Join Our Team as an Inventory Control Supervisor!

Are you a highly organized, detail-oriented leader with a knack for streamlining processes and keeping things running like clockwork? We're looking for an Inventory Control Supervisor to take charge of our stockroom operations, ensure accurate inventory tracking, and lead a small but mighty Fair-time team. This is your chance to make a big impact—supporting year-round operations and helping us gear up for one of Florida’s most iconic events: the Fair! Summary

Manage all activities related to inventory control, maintaining operations by establishing inventory levels, receiving and verifying inventory and supervising staff.

Key Responsibilities

  • Grow revenue by ensuring a highly centralized and orderly stock room to allow FSFA the ability to purchase items in bulk and control costs with the replenishment of inventory.
  • Refine process efficiencies by establishing, inputting, and maintaining accurate data for record keeping of inventory items using UNGERBOECK.
  • Ensure the assembly/disbursement of materials and delivery of equipment to all departments (or to the Inventory Runner), once processed and logged into the inventory records or requested by a department.
  • Properly maintain material/equipment, disbursement log sheet, assuring proper sign in/out by employees.
  • Ensure the monitoring of fuel usage and preparing of fuel measurement documentations by five working days in order to deliver to the Purchasing Office to properly finalize the monthly fuel reports.
  • Continually drive the creation and delivery of value by maximizing systems to leverage data. Tag fixed assets, tag all other accountable property and log the information, and ensure the delivery of the fixed asset log to Accounting each month.
  • Support processes and assist with physical inventory of assets and provide back up support to the Inventory Runner.
  • Support and continually enhance the learning and growth of our team.
  • Ensure high performance and success by having the right people with the right skills in the right places.

Fair Responsibilities

  • Ensure the security of Ticket Stock.
  • Receive and return credit card machines, radios, coffee machines, etc.
  • Supervise temporary mailing station.
  • Work with Fair-time Sponsors.
  • Supply and stock all Fair time Temporary office trailers.
  • Additional various duties as needed.

Leadership/Supervisory Responsibilities

Directly supervises one to three employees. Performs supervisory responsibilities by managing and allocating employee resources in accordance with company policies, applicable laws and company initiatives/goals. Responsibilities include interviewing, hiring, training and developing employees; planning, assigning, and directing work (including scheduling); rewarding and disciplining employees; addressing complaints and resolving problems.

Requirements

QUALIFICATIONS/EDUCATION/CERTIFICATIONS:

High School or equivalent required. Some college courses or degree highly preferred. Five or more years of related work experience, particularly in an inventory control position or capacity. Must have a valid Florida Driver’s License, CDL a plus.

Knowledge, Skills And Abilities

  • Excellent people skills, attention to detail and ability to meet deadlines
  • Strong computer skills and ability to work in Microsoft office programs, perform word processing, and work with spreadsheets
  • Knowledge of accounting systems, inventory, payroll, development software, order processing, use of internet for research, and project management skills
  • Ability to lift 50 pounds and climb stairs and ladders for warehouse stocking

Physical Demands/Working Conditions

Duties are performed occasionally in an office setting. Operates computer and standard office equipment, such as telephone and copier/printer. Must have the ability to stand, sit, walk, use hands, reach with hands and arms, stoop, kneel, crouch, crawl, talk, hear, lift or move (more than 50 pounds), climb stairs, or balance on rare occasion. There is occasional exposure to environmental demands including wet/humid weather, working near mechanical parts and in high, precarious places on rare occasion. There is also exposure to fumes or airborne particles, possible toxic or caustic chemicals, outdoor weather conditions, and extreme temperatures (non-weather).
