Job summary

Bluegrass Supply Chain in Findlay, OH, is seeking an experienced Inventory Control Supervisor to oversee inventory management and accuracy at our Findlay Distribution Center. This hands-on leadership role drives cycle counts, root-cause analyses, and continuous improvement across the warehouse.

Qualifications

• 5+ years in inventory control or warehouse, incl. 3+ years in leadership.
• Hands-on experience with WMS and inventory software.
• Proficient in Excel with VLOOKUP/XLOOKUP, pivot tables.
• Knowledge of FIFO/FEFO, receiving, shipping processes.
• Lean/5S mindset focused on continuous improvement.
• Strong analytical, communication and problem-solving skills.
• Ability to work extended hours as needed.
• High school diploma or equivalent.

Responsibilities

• Oversee daily inventory control activities, including cycle counts and annual physical inventories.
• Monitor and report key inventory metrics: accuracy, turns, shrinkage, aged stock.
• Investigate discrepancies, damaged goods and shrinkage; identify root causes and corrective actions.
• Maintain inventory records within WMS/JD Edwards (JDE).
• Oversee scrap processes and coil room inventory, reporting in JDE.
• Support receiving, put away, replenishment, and shipping to maintain accuracy.
• Recruit, train, schedule and develop inventory control team; set performance expectations.
• Identify opportunities to improve slotting, storage utilization and efficiency.
• Enforce safety standards, OSHA requirements and company policies (forklift operation).
• Partner with operations, purchasing, finance and customer service on audits, returns and reconciliations.

Salary Range: 70-80K with 5% bonus potential

Bluegrass Supply Chain is seeking an experienced Inventory Control Supervisor to oversee inventory management and accuracy at our Findlay, Ohio Distribution Center. This hands-on leadership role is responsible for maintaining accurate inventory records, managing cycle counts, investigating discrepancies, and leading the inventory control team.

Position Summary

Key Responsibilities

• Oversee daily inventory control activities, including cycle counts and annual physical inventories.

Requirements

Minimum Qualifications

• 5+ years of inventory control or warehouse experience, including at least 3 years in a leadership role.
• Hands-on experience with warehouse management systems (WMS) and inventory software.
• Strong understanding of cycle counting, FIFO/FEFO, receiving, shipping, and inventory management processes.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Excel, including VLOOKUP/XLOOKUP, pivot tables, sorting, and filtering.
• Knowledge of Lean principles, 5S, waste reduction, and continuous improvement.
• Strong analytical skills with the ability to identify and resolve inventory discrepancies.
• Excellent communication, organizational, and problem-solving skills.
• Ability to work extended hours as business needs require.
• High school diploma or equivalent.

Preferred Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Supply Chain, Logistics, Business, or a related field.
• Experience with JD Edwards (JDE).
• Current forklift certification or previous forklift operating experience.
• Lean or Six Sigma training or certification.
